Sorry for the late response.
In my case, we have the material number, serial number created and equipment number is also created but the equipment view is not active.This can be seen in IQ09. If i go in IE03 and put the number we get message 'Equipment ***** does not exist".
In my case we are using the serial number profile. As the standard functionality of serial number, the system creates the equipment number whenever there is a goods receipt of material with serial number.
I just need to activate the equipment view.
